Dimapur, September 23 (MExN): The Students’ Counselling Center (SCC) of the Unity College Dimapur observed the World Alzheimer’s Day 2021 (September 21) by organising a two-day awareness session on the disease.
The two-day session (September 20 and 21) focused on Alzheimer emphasizing on dementia, informed a press release from Nchumbeni Y Jungio, Counsellor, SCC Unity College. The participants were taught about the signs, symptoms, stages and the various interventions that can be carried out related to the problems developed by the person with Alzheimer and Dementia, it said.
The session, conducted by Jungio, was organized recognising the importance of involving and informing the young generations to reach out to the aging population, it added. A total of 22 students and 2 faculty got completion certificates after the two-day session.
