Unity FC today lifted the champion trophy of Lobenkokba Memorial Morning Champions Cup 2026 here at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima, organized by Morning Football Association (MFA).
In the final match, Unity FC registered a 4-2 victory over Eagle FC.
Kezevituo, Velukho, Honaito and Mako netted a goal each for winning team Unity FC in the 11th, 14th, 21st and 69th minute respectively.
Zapu connected both the goals for Eagle FC.
Kekhrie of Unity FC has been conferred with Golden Glove award while Kezevituo (Unity FC) received Golden boot award. Kezevituo scored 10 goals during a month long journey of the event.
Later, Major Anshuman of 13th Assam Rifles graced the closing ceremony and handed over trophies to the winners along with MFA president Burakum Ao.
The programme was chaired by Lipokzulu, Vice President, Morning Football Association.
Mentionably, other teams who vied for this event, included Morung United, Merhulietsa FC, Morning FC, Gethemgo FC, Gida FC, Vanguard FC Old Boys, Mustang FC and Red Warriors FC.
