What is not possible elsewhere are possible in India. The most unthinkable and the most condemnable happen, or are allowed to happen. Unlike any other, the phenomena are much more evident in the political landscape. Too scandalizing, the MPLADS, meant for the development of respective constituencies are even going into the MPs’ pockets as kickbacks. Certainly, these impious political leaders with power in hand are nothing but a massive threat to country’s well being. They have virtually sapped the vigour and resources of the nation. I am afraid, in this our judiciary seems crippled, or rather tongue-tied in announcing a fitting penalty against such fraudulent heavyweights.
In the hindsight, I entirely put the blame on the bulky constitution of the country that let any slimy fox to rule the nation which in turn reduce the body of politics to a stinky mess. Practically speaking, it is very proper to deal all these fraudsters in rogue gallery with most severe punishment than what is given to the normal criminals. But sadly, these foxy lots swiftly cook up the ways and measures to be out of the jail confinement even though the crime is of the most unpardonable nature. For instance, leaders like Lalu, Mayavati, Jayalalita, Shibu Soren, still stand tall in the political arena. Alas! the law in India can be bargained, purchased and maneuvered where the insensitive lawyers are the peddlers.
In the light of this disgusting trend and learning from the damning past instances, perhaps the time is ripe that right thinking leaders of rectitude must join together and resolutely get ready to thoroughly rewrite the constitution that enables to rid the politics of evildoers.
