Dimapur, October 31 (MExN): The upgraded Model ART Plus Centre at District Hospital, Dimapur was formally inaugurated by V Hekali Zhimomi, IAS, Additional Secretary & Director General, National AIDS Control Organization (NACO), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India on October 31.
The upgraded facility marks a significant milestone in the State’s commitment to strengthening HIV service delivery through improved infrastructure, patient-friendly design, and integrated service provision, stated a press release received here.
The upgraded Centre will continue to provide comprehensive, client-centred, and stigma-free HIV care, support, and treatment services, ensuring uninterrupted access to life-saving antiretroviral therapy. It also aims to foster a welcoming and compassionate environment where every person living with HIV receives equitable and dignified care.
With this upgrade, the Model ART Plus Centre at Dimapur is envisioned to serve as a hub of excellence and learning.
The inauguration was attended by officials from the National AIDS Control Organisation, Officials from the Department of Health & Family Welfare, representatives from partner organizations, and community members.
