Ura Academy to celebrate 75 years

Kohima, May 22 (MExN): Ura Academy will be celebrating 75 years on May 29 and 30 at NBCC Convention Centre, Kohima, with Dr. Ashwani Kumar, Governor of Nagaland, as chief guest and Timikha Koza, President, Tenyimi People’s Organisation (TPO), as the guest of honour.

Ura Academy Rüpfünuo General Secretary, Metsilhouthie Mor, said more than 3000 delegates are expected to attend the celebration along with hundreds of special invitees.
Mor also said that Government of Nagaland had already given a restricted holiday on May 30 for the celebration in particular to the Tenyimi community which comprised of Angami, Chakhesang, Rengma, Pochury, Zeliang, Mao, Poumai, Impui, Maram and Thangal.

There will be a mega exhibition on culture and literature. Meanwhile, the transportation committee will be providing free bus service in every bus stop junction in Kohima for those attending the celebration.
