Dimapur, May 17 (MExN): The department of Food & Civil Supplies is undertaking intensive verification/ authentication of all existing BPL, AAY, Annapurna beneficiaries in the State. The detail beneficiary lists thereof is available in the office of respective ADS/SOS and Inspector Longleng.
A press note issued by K.T. Sukhalu, IAS, secretary to the government of Nagaland informed that the departmental officers have been directed to verify/authenticate the beneficiaries in their respective jurisdiction. The department also seeks the cooperation of all concerned Chairman of Village council, members, GBs, municipal members and ward members to assist the department in verification. In case of death or migration of the beneficiary, the department officers and respective public leaders mentioned above, are requested to ensure the deserving citizens are recommended.
The note also mentioned that thereafter, the department will issue fresh BPL/AAY/Annapurna Ration Card with photograph of the beneficiary. The details of the beneficiary with proper address house number, number of family members etc should be furnished by the beneficiary. “All the administrative officers in the district are requested to assist in the ongoing verification. The identification/verification of beneficiaries should be completed by June 30, 2011 without fail,” further directed the note.
