Kohima, January 13 (DIPR): For the first time, six contingents from the Village Guards will be participating at the State level Republic Day function at Secretariat Plaza, Kohima on January 26 2011. The VGs contingents from Longleng, Kiphire, Meluri, Tuensang and Mon will be dressed in their traditional attires including Kiphire VG Brass Band. The other contingents to take part in the ceremonial parade on Republic Day include: 16th Assam Rifles, 16th Assam Rifles School, 164 Naga Territorial Army, CRPF, 4th NAP, DEF Kohima, IRB, Home Guard, NCC (Boys & Girls), Bharat Scouts & Guides, Sainik School students, Mahilla Battalion and Ex-Servicemen.
