Kohima Police issues traffic regulations

Kohima, October 5 (MExN): The Vice President of India, M Venkaiah Naidu is scheduled to visit Kohima from October 7 to 9. In view of the three-day visit of the Vice President to the State, the Kohima Police has informed that the following traffic regulations will be enforced:

October 7 (Thursday) 

1. There will be no parking of vehicle on the roadside from: 
a) 1 AR camp Gate ‘D’ block to Raj Bhavan via TCP Gate, Classic point
b) TCP Gate to Razhu Point
c) Razhu Point to High School
d) Classic point to Phesema village via Mhonkhola, Lerie.

2. Alternate parking facility will be available at Old MLA Hostel Complex, Northern gate via Razhu Point.

3. Bus stand at PHQ junction will be shifted to opposite NSF Martyrs Park. 

4. Southern Angami bound taxi stand at network station Mhonkhola to be vacated by 12 noon. 

5. All out of the district bound buses originating at Network Station, Phoolbari to depart by 12 noon. 

October 8 (Friday) 

1. There will be no parking of vehicle on the road side from:
a) Raj Bhavan to Phoolbari
b) Phoolbari to 1 AR Camp ‘D’ block via D.C Kohima Office 
c)    Phoolbari to state Museum Bayavu hills via Razhu point

2. Alternate parking facility will be available at Old MLA Hostel Complex, Northern gate via Razhu Point.

October 9 (Saturday) 
1. There will be no-parking of vehicle on the roadside from: 
a) Raj Bhavan to Phoolbari
b) Phoolbari to Razhu Point
c) Phoolbari to 1 AR Camp ‘D’ block via D.C Kohima Office

2. Alternate parking facility will be available at Old MLA Hostel Complex, Northern gate via Razhu Point.  

During this period, Sr Superintendent of Police Kohima informed, no heavy vehicle will be allowed to enter/ply within Kohima town from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm.
