Vice President’s visit: Drones & firecrackers prohibited for 2 days

Dimapur, November 30 (MExN): Flying of drones in the districts of Dimapur, Chümoukedima, and Niuland is prohibited from 6:00am to 6:00pn on December 1 and 2 in view of the Vice President of India official visit to Nagaland. 

The decision has been taken in the interest of security exigency, Dimapur Commissioner of Police Kevithuto Sophie said. 

An order to this effect was issued on Wednesday, stating that use of any kind of remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) like drones, etc; conduct of any kind of firing practice by security forces, civil police, central police, private firing range, or any civilian holder of licensed fire arms; and bursting of firecrackers are also prohibited during the period.
