Virtual solo singing competition on Sept 15

Dimapur, September 5 (MExN): A virtual solo singing competition is being organized on September 15 by the All Nagaland College Students' Union (ANCSU) in collaboration with Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA).

The competition is being organized as part of the Union’s endeavor to encourage and promote young talented college students in the field of music, ANCSU stated in a press release on Sunday.

Cash award of Rs 15,000 with citation will be given to the winner of the competition while the 1st runner up and 2nd runner up will receive Rs 10,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively, along with citation.

The result will be declared and published on September 20 on the ANCSU’s Instagram account @ancsu_nagaland_official and the winning entries will be uploaded in its YouTube channel ANCSU Nagaland.

Entry is open to all affiliated and associate colleges of ANCSU and the respective students council/union can be contacted for participation (2 participant per college), ANCSU informed.

Further, the Union informed that it has invited three eminent and renowned director and musicians as the parent judges for the competition- Dr Hovithal N Sothu (Project Director, TaFMA), Obed Kath (Songwriter, Composer; Founder and front man of the Christian Band Divine Connection) and Virie (Singer, Songwriter and Composer; Award Winning Artist of Radio City Freedom Award and Music Award of Nagaland).
