The Vizachü Peli No 15 of T Khel, Kohima village celebrated its silver jubilee on March 4. Addressing the grand celebration at Rutsa (Bypass, Kohima), K Neibou Sekhose, chairman Tsütuonuomia Khel Council, Kohima village, complimented Vizachü Peli for attaining the 25 glorious years.
He inaugurated Vizachü Jubilee monolith and Badze and hoped that it will become a place of blessings and ideal location for social gathering of common good.
Sekhose lauded Vizachü Peli for keeping alive the traditional practice of the forefathers and strengthening friendship and the spirit of oneness.
He called upon the members to retrospect both success and shortcomings and move forward with renewed vigour to meet various challenges ahead.
He also urged upon the members to maintain a positive mindset and walk extra mile for excellence.
Zhakuo Whuorie, Convenor, Organizing Committee Vizachü Silver Jubilee thanked Late Keneisetshu (Achu) Sekhose & family for donating land for the construction of Vizachü badze.
He also acknowledged Kevisenyü Zatsu for composing Vizachü Peli song.
Whuorie said that Vizachü Peli will continue to uphold the rich culture and tradition of the forefathers.
Vizachü Peli has 229 members at present.
MLA Dr. Tseilhoutuo Rhütso, ex-MLA Khriehu Liezietsu, Kohima Village Council chairman Helievio Solo, Kohima Village Youth Organization president Medozhazo Rutsa, T. Khel Peli Union chairman Visasielie Suohu and several other government officials and councillors from Kohima Municipal Council also graced the celebration.
Earlier, Peteneizo Belho, secretary, Organizing Committee, Vizachü Silver Jubilee chaired the programme while Rev. Atuo Whuorie, Pastor, Baptist Mission Church, Kohima invoked God’s blessings.
Vote of thanks was proposed by Virienyü Phewhuo, Pehü, Vizachü Peli.
