The State Cabinet in its sitting held here today approved the enhancement of wages for fixed work charged and casual employees in the State. The cabinet has approved the wages for skilled labour (Grade -1) from Rs. 3500 to Rs. 4000, Skilled labour (Grade- II) from Rs. 3000 to Rs. 3600 while the wage for unskilled labour has been enhanced to Rs. 3000 from Rs. 2000. Source told The Morung Express that the cabinet has also approved the daily allowance of home guards from Rs. 120 to Rs. 150. The cabinet also approved the proposal of the school education department for regularization of service of 40 teachers under school education department with effect from 16.1.2004. Among others, creation of one post for women development officer under women development department have also been approved at the cabinet sitting, source said.
