Dimapur, December 30 (MExN): NSCN-Khaplang senior kilonser Y Wangtin Naga today condole the death of Phil Esmonde, member of the Quakers (London). “Late. Phil was a committed man who stood for peace and tranquility among mankind in the world who also no less contributed for the Nagas peace. I met him (Phil) in Chaingmai (Thailand) and still remembered the speeches and sharing Late. Phil had for the Naga peace,” Naga stated in a condolence message today. In his death, the NSCN-K kilonser said, the Nagas have lost a ‘dynamic personality who boldly stood for the peace and reconciliation among the Naga brothers.’ “Also I have a book presented by my late friend (Phil) in Chaingmai which I will preserve it as a souvenir and symbol of peace. I also share a grief and distress to a bereaved family and Quaker friends on behalf of NSCN/GPRN and continue to maintain relationship with Quakers. I wish and pray, the God of heaven will definitely lift up the departed soul to rest in peace in His heavenly abode.”
