WAROMONG, DEC 8 (MExN): The Leader of Opposition I Imkong went on an inaugurating spree today in his constituency under Mokokchung district. Imkong laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Inter-Linkage Ring Road from Mangkolemba to Molungyimsen and inaugurated the Waromong- Milak Link Road.
“My election promise was that if I am elected, I will not talk about politics but work for the economic development of the youth and today I am doing my best to do that and may these roads lead to prosperity”, the Opposition leader said at the function which was held at Milak river, after inaugurating the Waromung Milak Link Road. He further deliberated that the advancing world requires hard working youths, whose doors will be open once all the link roads are connected.
As far as Nagaland politics is concerned, Imkong reiterated that he does not believe in character assassination but would point out the truth when a wrong has been done. He pointed out that the Congress demanded for a white paper on the disappearance of the 365 crore peace package which ultimately ended in the firing of Therie, the former finance minister. The Opposition has also demanded the dissolution of the DAN Government and would also highlight certain issues to His Excellency sometime on the 12th & 13th this month, added the CLP Leader. Imkong also said that being in the Opposition has been knowledgeable for the betterment of the party.
The Leader of Opposition also inspected the ongoing construction work of the new Mangkolemba High School. The administration, police officials, NPCC Vice-President, Ayang Aonok and the party workers accompanied the Opposition Leader on his whirlwind tour of the constituency.
