KOHIMA, SEPTEMBER 26 (MExN): Advisor Water Resources Department, Namri Nchang launched the Aadhaar based Biometric attendance system at the Directorate of Water Resources on September 26.
The system was launched to improve efficiency, transparency in monitoring the attendance, leave record and over all working environment in the department, informed a DIPR report.
Speaking at the program Advisor Water Resources, Namri Nchang said that he is happy with the government’s initiative to introduce the biometric system in all government offices which will help in maintaining accuracy of attendance of all the employees. He encouraged all the staff to cooperate and make good use of the new system.
Chief Engineer Water Resources Department, Tsuktinungsang, while delivering vote of thanks, said that an old chapter has closed and a new one has begun with an intention to react fast with the changes that is taking place. He reminded the staff that their performance and APAR will be reflected from the new system and encouraged all to be sincere and efficient in their duties. He acknowledged the Department of Information Technology & Communication and Syscom Technology for assisting the Water Resources Department in installing the Biometric Attendance System.
The programme was chaired by Er. WapangnaroImchen SDO & Nodal Officer for Biometric Attendance WRD. The launching program was also graced by the Commissioner & Secretary, O.T. Chingmak, IAS.
