Kohima, February 6 (MExN): The wrestling event of the 58th Sports Meet 2022 of Western Angami Youth Organization (WAYO) will take place on February 8 at Khuochiezie (Kohima Local Ground).
WAYO information & publicity secretary Petevito Chucha informed that 60 wrestlers from (Groups- A, B, C and D) of Western Angami region will vie for top honours in senior category.
The junior category will witness 16 wrestlers.
MLA Keneizhakho Nakhro will grace the event as the special guest at 8:30 AM.
WAYO wrestling secretary Zapusazo Sirie will administer oath to the wrestlers.
The wrestling programme will be chaired by WAYO advisor Neidilhouto Sechü while WAYO president Megorüzo Chase will deliver presidential address.
The prize distribution ceremony will be led by Gonei-u Sirie.
Mentionably, the football, volleyball, indoor games and athletics events have been already conducted on January 24 and 25 last at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
During the two day sports events, Group-D topped the medal tally with 40 medals (Gold 20, Silver 17 and Bronze 3).
