FGN Chakhesang Region Leacy Hoho held
Phek, March 1(MExN): As part of strengthening the Naga National Council Plebiscite 1951, the Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) Chakhesang Region (C/R) during its 2012 Leacy Hoho cum Budget Session held at Phek Village on February 23 and 24 last reaffirmed to firmly stand in support of 1951 plebiscite In a unanimous decision, the house resolved to work under the leadership of NNC President Adino Phizo and FGN President Retd. General Viyalie Metha.
Out of 16 Leacy (s) (MLAs) strength in the region, 14 Leacy attended the Hoho session. Kedikhrolo Leacy Kuza Sub-region was inducted as the regional Hoho Speaker and Nushehu Leacy Phek sub-region was inducted as regional Hoho secretary, further following the vacant arises under Phek sub-region, Povetso Lohe was inducted against the vacancy.
Chief-in-Chief of the Army, Lt. Gen. S. Dure and Nagaland Women Federation President Veducholu attended the session and addressed the house by briefing them the present situation, where both of them urged the house to be sincere, loyal for the cause of the nation and be a part of peace and reconciliation process. The house also resolved to have its session twice in every one calendar year
Chakhesang region FGN Midam Peyu (Regional Administrator) Lhuprura Swuro in his address expressed happiness over good turn up of Leacy. Since time immemorial till date tremendous numbers of leader(s), soldiers of good warriors lost their lives for the cause of the nation and it is because of their sacrificial deeds they had rendered we are surviving till date, asserted Swuro and added that one should never forget their martyrdom.
Swuro said that there is a good growth of existing functionaries in the land of the Nagas after the death of NNC President AZ Phizo.
