WENN concludes 6-week basic fashion design training for 28 women

Chumoukedima, February 19 (MExN): The six-week Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programme (ESDP) on Basic Fashion Design concluded on February 19 at CENTY J, 5th Mile, Chumoukedima. 

The programme was organised by the Women Entrepreneurs Network Nagaland (WENN) and supported by MSME Dimapur.

According to the update, the training empowered 28 women participants with essential skills in design principles, fashion illustration, pattern making, garment construction, and entrepreneurship, equipping them to launch and sustain fashion ventures.

To enrich the learning experience, resource persons from the District Industries Centre (DIC), Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), and banking institutions provided sessions on financial literacy and awareness of government schemes for entrepreneurs. 

Local entrepreneurs also shared their journeys, motivating participants with practical insights and lived experiences.

The valedictory programme was graced by women entrepreneurs and representatives from MSME, who commended the participants for their dedication and innovation.

This initiative reflected WENN’s commitment to building capacity, enhancing market readiness, and creating pathways for women-led enterprises in Nagaland’s growing fashion ecosystem.
