Kohima, August 23 (MExN): A felicitation-cum-career guidance programme was organised by Western Angami Students’ Union (WASU) at Sechü Zubza Council Hall on August 21. The Union felicitated the successful students of HSLC and HSSLC examination 2021.
Rokono Keyho, Joint Director, Higher Education, Kohima and Kuolacalie Seyie, CEO Seyie Auto spoke on the occasion as resource persons. Keyho shared about the New Education Policy 2020 and the changes in the education system. He emphasized the importance and need for vocational and skill development.
Kuolachalie Seyie talked on the topic “Business potentialities in Nagaland” and challenged the students to think of business as a career. He shared the business potentials available in Nagaland. He stressed on the importance of hard work, commitment, persistence and integrity to become successful person. He also reminded that excuses, ignorance and laziness brings failure in all fields.
The programme was chaired by WASU general secretary Mhiesisekho while WASU president Thekrusevi Meru delivered welcome address. All the rank holders and subject toppers from WASU unit have been awarded. Adeno Gwirie from Baptist Mission School Jotsoma was also awarded the 2021 WASU Award for excellence.
