Kohima, November 7 (MExN): The Western Losami Welfare Union (WLWU) celebrated its 25th anniversary on November 5 at Losami Community Hall, Tenyiphe-1, E-Khel, Chümoukedima under the theme “Nurturing the Heritage of Oneness.”
Speaking on the occasion as the Special Guest, MLA & Advisor, New & Renewable Energy and NSDMA, Z. Nyusietho Nyuthe said that spirit of unity is the strength that has sustained and shaped the community over the years.
He highlighted the importance of steadfast commitment, hard work, and collective effort as key elements for progress and community development.
Nyuthe commended the Losami community for their strong work ethic, resilience, and collective spirit.
He encouraged the gathering to continue upholding Christian values and family ethics as the foundation for a peaceful, responsible, and progressive society.
He extended best wishes to the community for continued growth and unity in the years to come.
KewepupeuKanuh led the programme while welcome address was delivered by Wetsote K. Swuro, President, Western Losami Welfare Union.
A reflection on “Reminiscing 25 Years of WLWU” was presented by Neiwehi K. Tara.
Release of the 25th Anniversary Souvenir was done by Dr. Eyekhweshe Kepfoh, Chief Veterinary Officer & Former President of WLSU.
Short speeches were delivered by representatives from the Losami Village Council, Losami Union Kohima, and Losami Community Phek.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Kekhwepe Mekrisuh and a blessing prayer by Weyiete Khesoh.
Earlier, the Monolith was unveiled by the Special Guest after the dedicatory prayer offered by Kesowe Mekrisuh, Pastor, Losami Baptist Church.
