As funny as it may sound, the root word of impossible is possible and it is of certain that most of us may have known this fact that we have not yet realized. The moment we begin to think or do something, the first thought that would come to our mind would be, ‘whether it is possible or impossible?’. When doubts arise in our minds the choices that we make bring the results we want. Everything thing is possible if we think we can and it is also impossible when we think we cannot. The word impossible originated in the 14th century from a Latin word ‘impossibiles’ simply meaning not able to do or which is very difficult to dealt with. History and experiences tell us that those that were considered impossible were overcome with achievements and accomplishments and are now possibilities. It was simply their faith in their abilities and the conviction that they can achieve.
Almost every day and in many forms we are faced with obstacles which are presumed as impossible and those barrage may be in the form of fear, in faith, friends, greed, anger and many more but this is what I want to share how with God ones impossibility becomes a possibility and possibility into a probability and it into a fact. Perhaps it is true to view that some things are impossible to men but with God all things are possible. I am not making a faith statement but it is my conviction about making impossible a possibility and a reality.
Perhaps the most common thing which makes us project impossible is fear, now fear is what wants us to run from something that isn’t after us. The proper response to fear would be to have faith and step up to the plate or we will never get the opportunity let alone to succeed. Due to fear we face failure but failure on the other hand is not about falling down but rather staying down so we must view failure as rather a stumble and not as a fall so, the fact is that these stumble prevent us to fall. But just like a villain in all stories the word ‘impossible’ has a way of saying no to many of our good ideas or chances in life but one thing which must be kept firm is to believe in oneself because there always comes a time when one must stand all alone. It’s just that if we are capable of standing alone when that time comes we will be able to face the temptations. Thomas Edison one of the greatest inventors in all time once said “the best thinking has been done in solitude and the worst has been done in turmoil” even nature shows example to this view eagles fly alone crows fly in groups and the question is who decides to be an eagle or a crow.
Many of us has great dreams and ambition it may vary from one to another but most of us make excuses that it can’t be achieved, the reason why people can’t achieve their own dream is because of excuses and blaming others for their failures. We must leave the word excuse behind us as there is no excuse for being full of excuses simply we must learn from our mistakes. If we don’t waste our time denying and defending them it is for certain that we would face victory down the path. Endurance is important in this journey and we need to focus our mind and attention on our goals and aspirations.
All these reasons for an individual to view impossible as possible and to succeed would be meaningless if one does not view life as full of possibilities and interesting. We must therefore be optimistic about life no matter what the consequences we may be on in this modern and competitive world we must have eyes which don’t look but see. We need commitment to our life and life’s longings.
Life as of today will be as it is, if one does not begin to make the impossible as possible, so let’s begin right now as winning starts with beginning within a little thing lies a big opportunity, do all that it takes to be successful in small things. We must not be deceived by failures as when one makes marks in life it is for certain that we will attract a lot of erasers the world is full of bullies. But by overcoming all these we achieve what others can’t be done. There aren’t any books, secrets nor shortcut to success but one thing remain clear if we view life as it is with an open mindedness and be ready to work hard and fight for our own will, it is for certain that happiness will follow as the saying goes ‘determination leads to destination’.
