Seeing the present scenario of Naga's way of life, we feel a shame to say that Nagaland is for Christ. We make our Lord Jesus Christ a mockery. Whether NNPGc or State Government and its people, most of them have forsaken our Lord and following the spirit of selfishness, robbery, killing, self centered and pride. Truth is no longer tolerable for many of the so called Christians. If we do not want to hear the truth and repulse about our shortcomings, I don't understand which Christ do we believe?
There are some people who truly love Nagas and therefore they use to write the truths about us all, pointing our unchristian ways of life. But instead of acknowledging the shortcomings, some people immediately retaliates. Truth is always truth. We must accept what the writers say and change our course. If we are trying to protect our mistakes and follow the dictates of our heart, we deny our Lord Jesus, because He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.
Mahatma Gandhi once said, "I like Christianity but I hate the way the Christians are living." How true was his statement? Because we are full of selfishness, hatred, pride, and self centered and we take the name of our Lord in vain, Satan always take the opportunity to destroy the Nagas.
My dear Naga leaders, as we fast and pray to God for His will and leadings, let us also follow His words and make Nagaland for Christ in reality, filled with love and oneness. Let us also cast off tribalism, and all other isms and let God cleanse us from all filthiness to make us a new creation. Let us also not forget that He found us when we were hunting each other's head, and has blessed us to make Nagaland for Christ.
