The growing menace of illegal immigrant Miyas in Nagaland has reached a dangerous point. The recent step of the Naga Council Dimapur and Public Action Committee formed from various NGOs such as women Hoho, Tribal Hohos, GBs, Students, Senior citizens, though late has come as a savior to complacent foolish Nagas who have grown completely dependent on these parasites, thereby directly responsible for turning these aliens into our masters today. Somehow or somewhere someone has to take up this issue and it is correct for public organizations such as a mass based body like Naga council and tribe hohos to take up the most critical and burning issue Nagaland is facing irrespective of what our government says. It is a fact that Miya or illegal Bangladeshi immigrants issue takes the front seat by miles ahead compared to others including the question of Nagalim.
Public memory is too short. Just to cite a few examples : We have forgotten how 3 Naga boys were murdered through black magic practice (Oh yes, these people practice big time and we Nagas are their most valued customers. Indeed we’re Christians!) by Miya Bangladeshis at Medziphema in 2009, rape and murder of a girl in 2011 in Mon apart from many other rape incidents including the Feb 6 rape in Dimapur, the murder of a Naga a boy at Imkongleden, Nagarjan in 2010 by Bangladeshi Miyas, again through black magic, the recent lynching and murder of 3 UGs at Nagaland-Assam border, etc. Hell, they are not even afraid of our UGs! If they can tackle and kill the feared Naga UGs, behold, the rest of the common Nagas are not safe. Apart from this, there happen countless cases of cattle theft, flower theft, household appliances theft, baby theft, car theft, even wife theft (thanks to money-loving, cheap immoral naga wives, they make things easy for Miyas)! In fact, wife theft or Miyas eloping with a Naga man’s wife happens at regular intervals and is one of the most pressing problems today but it cannot be highlighted openly due to shame on the husband’s part. And the fact that the “happily-eloped-couple” run away to Assam do not help matters.
Again, how many Nagas have to be cheated, duped, raped, murdered and defrauded by these Miya Bangladeshis who through dubious tricks make millions with the genuine money of gullible Nagas reducing them to bankruptcy, poverty and shame before we Nagas wake up and say enough is enough! Government authorities can take cognizance of the facts through daily newspapers reports and act accordingly. Are the numerous police reports not enough to wake up concerned politicians and officials in authority? How effective has been the Foreigners Act of 1946 in identifying and deporting illegal immigrants? Virtually all crimes are committed by illegal immigrant Bangladeshis in our own land. What is wrong if an NGO or any NGOs take up the issue and control the teeming Miyas even if in a less professional way? Instead of criticizing, government and its professional agencies should rather seek cooperation and support of active organizations like NSF, AKM, KVYO, Naga Council, etc., and go on a war footing-drive to detect illegal immigrants who are killing, raping, cheating and stealing everything in their sight every day instead of crying like a baby that the sanctity of government’s jurisdiction has been violated! It is time to tackle this illegal immigrant issue head-on with the full resources of the government! It is time for People’s Revolution!
Question is: when are you Nagas going to wake up (Naga landowners, farm owners and house owners, are you listening?)?
