There were lots of shouting and counter shouting at each other; the Moderator of the Debate, Arnab Goswami the louder and nobody seriously listened to the other. The debate looked more like a shouting match among uneducated in the Street shouting at each other rather than an educated discussion among respectable citizens.
The debaters, all of them vociferously dwelled only on what Pranab Mukhurjee said at the annual meeting of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh on June 7, 2018 at Nagpur, to which the Hindu Rightist Organization, invited him as the Chief Guest.
Important Congress Party functionaries led by its recently elevated President Rahul Gandhi criticized the former President’s attendance. Mukherjee did not say anything that we have not heard him say before during his long obedient political career and particularly before, he retired recently from the post of the President of India.
None of the debaters dwelled on ‘Why the RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat invited the long standing docile Congressman former President of India’ produced his Memoirs while he is still alive.
The reason why the RSS invited the malleable high profile retired Congressman to the closing ceremony of the ‘Tritiya Varsha Shiksa Varg’ (three year training camp for the Swayamsevak Cadres) is perhaps in the Aesop Fables: A clever Fox planed to earn some favorable Credits as a broad-minded generous creature in the comity of the Animals in the Forest. Therefore, he invited the long necked Crane to a Dinner.
When the food came: To the acute discomfort of the long necked, long beaked Crane, She found the food in small grainy pieces in a very big flat plate. She had to pick the food one grain by one grain. It took her an embarrassingly long time to pick a mouthful. She had hardly picked a mouthful when the night arrived. So she thanked the Fox and flew away to the lake side to roost. After some time the Crane also invited the Fox to a Dinner. The Crane cooked fishes tastily and served them in a narrow long-necked Jar, The Fox put his pointed snout into the mouth of the jar, He could smell the fish but was unable to bite even a small piece! After frustrating attempts, he pretended satisfied and left the place quietly. The story quickly spread among the Animals in the Forest, and they did not record the Fox a broad-minded generous creature!
