To begin with, let me first focus on the very topic of debates and arguments that mostly does the round in Social Medias, "Nagaland or Nagalim," and let us all be practical here, because 'People's Sentiments' is at stake, and so if, the 'Nagas of Nagaland' wants the name to remain as 'Nagaland', why should anyone shove their forceful will down our throat, and what audacity do you have to intrude into our Homes and renames our homeland against our will.
It is understood that we are all Nagas though disintegrated through Artificial boundaries and demarcations, (so let us just say we are all Neighbours), but here is the hard fact (and just for once, kindly be in our side of the troubled water for a moment)
"How/What will you feel or react, if a Neighbour of yours, enters your home, demands for their cut of some monetary percentage of your hard earned Salary/Earnings and also impose their will on you at gunpoint. To add salt to injuries, again, without your consent, they 'Renames or Re-Christens your name, your wife's name (lovingly and meaningfully given by your respective beloved parents) and all your Children's names, Is that not a breach of personal rights and privacy?
Hence the bottom line is, if the Nagas of Nagaland wants the name of our homeland to remain as 'Nagaland', then it is 'Nagaland'..., Yeah, you heard right, the name is 'Nagaland' and not 'Nagalim' (for God sake)
Now, the very statement; "The State of Nagaland shall cease to exist" coined out, concocted and blabbered by some nonsensical and preposterous of the usurped state show runners, makes me feel like being hit "Below the Belt" with a foul strike and I strongly believes that it has stirred the very 'Jeez' out of everybody (as far as Nagaland State and its inhabitants and sons of the soil are concerned). It also makes me wonder as to how must our 'Visionary, Patriotic and Gallant heroes' of our forefathers be stirring restlessly in their graves, on hearing this traded insults to their beloved homeland in which they had given so much with their blood, sweat and tears. The absurdity in it all (per-se) is; Did all these long years from' "Conflicts to Ceasefire to Round of Talks" came to this 'Pathetically Abominable, Detestable, Abhorrent and Repugnant conclusion? ("The State of Nagaland shall...blah...blah...blah")
...but perhaps, if perchance, those comedians claims that they meant to say it as a Joke, then I must say that those very bad Jokers truly have a 'Sick sense of Humour' because Nagaland and its people are not a plaything for you to play with and be fiddled around.
History has it that the Naga National Movement is one of the oldest (or perhaps even the oldest) conflict in South East Asia, and since then, it was we, Nagas who had been accusing the GoI for 'Procrastinating or Dragging or Postponing' the issue this long, but suddenly, the table has turned the other way round with the GoI now accusing the Nagas (NSCN - IM) to being 'Procrastinating' which perhaps, maybe quite true, but which again is so outrageously Amusing.
I for one dream for a United/Unified Nagas from every corners sans artificial boundaries and demarcation to come together but enough has been said and deliberated that, looking into every angles, the GoI is crystal clear that 'Integration' is not possible at this juncture, however, 'Political Peace Process and Negotiations' will continue even after some solution is arrived at, so why can't we be Pragmatic at this very opportune moment, for all parties to come together, that what is possible right now and to 'Give Peace a Chance' so as to pave way for the 'Best' which is yet to come, and simply not waste our time, energy and opportunity in an 'Utopian Dreams' and a 'Fruitless Daydreaming Reverie'?
However if some Party(s)/negotiator(s) wants to remain so adamant and stubborn, I am afraid that I (or for that matter, the People of Nagaland) must also join the chorus of some of our Leaders/Negotiators/Writers, who had said that some People wants to prolong and drag on the conflict in order to hold the people (especially Nagas of Nagaland) to Ransom, so as to fleece Nagaland to its Skins and Bones through taxation and forceful collection in the name of 'Naga National Movement'..and to supplement their claims, I must also reverberate our old Naga saying as thus "The more you make the water murkier and dirtier, the more fishes you get", but please stop dirtying the already troubled waters dirtied by you, in order to get more fishes, (vis-a-vis your own selfish gains and vested interests).
Naga issue cannot be continued to be misinterpreted or twisted by some so called Leaders and (some faceless Incognitos) who are nothing but just Pseudo Nationalists and Wannabe Social Reformist's thinkers, who are hell bound to bring down Nagaland to its knees, with no care, but as long as it serves their own Materialistic Interests. Having said all these, the State of Nagaland cannot continue to always be placed at the 'Guillotine Chopping Block' for your Sinister and Diabolic designs.
