Wokha District Football Association conducts consultative meeting

WOKHA, NOVEMBER 29 (MExN): The Wokha District Football Association (WDFA) held a consultative meeting with the various range sports associations in the district on November 27 at Old Riphyim Baptist Church Building Wokha. 

According to a press release, WDFA president N Samuel Ezung, in his address thanked all attendee and emphasized on the need and importance to work together to promote and develop the game of football in the district. 

K. Edward Ngullie, Advisor WDFA and Treasurer, Nagaland Football Association (NFA) shared the objective of the meeting, highlighted the coming activities of NFA and shared at length on registration of clubs and players. He also revealed the association’s upcoming program for development of referees and coaches in the district. Ngullie, meanwhile, encouraged the ranges to register their football tournaments and seek for recognition of their tournament to the district association. 

Er Yanthanshan Yanthan, chairman of the Wokha District Football Referee Board (WDFRB) appraised the gathering on the formation, aims and objectives and also the guidelines set by the Board for the smooth conduct of football matches in the district.

The meeting was chaired by Zubenthung Ovung, general secretary WDFA and a short technical insight report was shared by Phyochamo Humtsoe, secretary WDFRB. Englan RSA, Niro RSA, Wozhüro RSA, LLRSA, Wokha Circle, Chukidong RSA, Sanis RSA, Doyang LOU attended the meeting.
