Wokha, August 26 (MExN): Wokha district secured the 1st position at the state-level and 4th position nationally during the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) enrolment drive held from July 15- August 15, achieving 511% of the target set by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India.
Secretary, Social Welfare and Mission Director, Mission Shakti, Bodeno S Colo, and Director, Social Welfare and Member Secretary, Mission Shakti, Tosheli Zhimomi, congratulated the district for its exceptional performance and presented a certificate of appreciation in recognition of the achievement.
The PMMVY is a maternity benefit programme run by the Government of India.
