Wokha, April 1 (MExN): Sakhi One Stop Centre, Wokha conducted its 4th consultative meeting with the District Level Management Committee at DC Conference Hall, Wokha on March 31.
A DIPR report stated that the SDO (C), Wokha, Chonpenthung Ezung while giving the keynote address highlighted about the various services provided to the women affected by violence. He briefed the guidelines to be followed by the convergence departments under Sakhi One Stop Centre Wokha and encouraged the team of Sakhi OSC to give more importance to conduct convergence programmes.
The SDO (C) also asked all the convergence Departments to take serious note and give more importance to Sakhi-OSC especially to Medical departments, Child Welfare Committee and Social welfare departments etc.
Mhathung Kikon, IT OSC delivered a presentation on innovation and outreach covered by OSC. He highlighted about the awareness programme conducted and cases received since inception.
During the discussion, inputs and suggestions were given by the various departments for smooth functioning of the centre. Positively taking the inputs and suggestions given, by various departments the team ensured that the centre will reach out to the unreached through all possible means.
Senior Advocate and President of Wokha BAR Association, Oren representatives from Lotha Eloe Hoho, Women Cell-Police Station-Wokha, Wokha District Legal Service and District Welfare Committee members also participated in the programme.
The programme was chaired by Thungbeni Kikon, Case Worker, Sakhi One stop Centre Wokha.
