Mokokchung, June 18 (MExN): A two-day workshop on videography, video editing and social media marketing concluded at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner's Office in Mokokchung on Wednesday, equipping participants with digital storytelling and content creation skills.

The workshop, held from June 16 to 17, was organised by SANKALP District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) and the District Administration, Mokokchung, under the aegis of the District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW).

The inaugural session began with a welcome address by District Mission Coordinator, DHEW, Km. Moamenla Longkumer, while Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung Headquarters, Atsüngba Walling, NCS, delivered the keynote address.

Addressing the participants, Walling said it was time for women to step forward and establish their presence in the digital world. He also appreciated the initiative taken by the District Hub for Empowerment of Women in organising the workshop.

Resource person Tsüngchilong, a civil engineer by qualification and an architect as well as a professional photographer and videographer, conducted sessions on videography and video production.

Through practical demonstrations and interactive sessions, participants were trained in filming techniques, storytelling and video editing while gaining exposure to industry practices and creative skills.

The workshop also included hands-on practical sessions on videography, video editing and the effective use of social media platforms for outreach and marketing.

Another resource person, Dr. Limasenla Jamir, conducted sessions on social media marketing, focusing on creating engaging content, audience targeting and the use of digital platforms for awareness generation and outreach. She emphasised the importance of building relationships and trust with audiences through transparency and honesty while promoting products or services and strengthening brand awareness.

Jamir also highlighted the three key elements for audience engagement in digital marketing—"hook, value and call to action"—as essential tools for business promotion.

The programme forms part of the district administration's ongoing efforts to promote skill development and digital literacy, particularly among women and youth, in line with the objectives of the District Hub for Empowerment of Women initiative.
