Kohima, September 21 (MExN): The Department of Horticulture, Government of Nagaland under the Patronage of the Governor of Nagaland will be organizing ‘Bridging the Gap towards Sustainable Horticulture in Nagaland’ on September 24 at Capital Convention Centre, Kohima and September 26 at Town Hall, Dimapur.
The Governor has taken the initiative of inviting Atul R. Patwardhan, Chintamani Consultancy and Service (CSS), an agricultural Project Consultation firm based at Pune, Maharashtra.
He will hold an in-depth interaction with the State Horticulture Department officials, farmers, entrepreneurs, NGOs and the Banking Institutions regarding the present horticulture scenario in the State and the way forward, a press note stated.
Among others, Patwardhan will highlight various subsidy schemes under National Horticulture Board, procedure to avail the schemes and provide consultation on starting Horticulture & Floriculture Projects in the State. Interactions will also be held with the farmers/promoters, the release added.
