WSKH shares deep concern on youth and unemployment

Dimapur, August 10 (MExN): The Western Sümi Kükami (GB) Hoho (WSKH) met Advisor for Industries & Commerce, Hekani Jakhalu at YouthNet office on August 7 and discussed important matters pertaining to today’s youth and unemployment.  

WSKH President, Phushito Ayemi in a press release stated that during the discussion, the WSKH expressed deep concern about how today’s youths are facing unemployment problems and shared about the vision of WSKH to equip the youths with knowledge and skills to earn their own livelihood and requested the Advisor to look into the matter.

As requested by the hoho, the Advisor assured the WSKH to look into the matter. She also appreciated the Hoho for having deep concern for youths and encouraged them to collectively work for the socio-welfare of the community.

The release stated that the WSKH as a guardian of Customary Law have always been concerned about the development of our people and to equip our youths with knowledge and skills and to let them earn their living, the WSKH has initiated the Skill Development Project at Homeland village. For this project, the Hd GB of the Homeland Village, Jepitoshe Zaka has provided the WSKH with 2 puras of land at Homeland Village, it added.
