DIMAPUR, MAY 1 (MExN): The Western Sumi Students’ Union has express solidarity with the Nagaland SSA Teachers’ Association over their demand for the release of the pending salary.
A press release from MSSU President Atokiho Sumi stated “Education is the cornerstone for progress of the society and it has been rightly accorded a fundamental right in the constitution of India, hence, the Government of Nagaland should confer top priority to the educational sector. On the contrary, it is lamentable to witness callous attitude of the government towards the plight of the teachers which is directly jeopardizing the career and welfare of students as well.”
WSSU, “in the interest of justice,” urged upon the Government to “exhibit wisdom and release the payment of pending salary at the earliest before the case snowballs into unwanted consequence.”
