Dimapur, April 26 (MExN): The Western Sumi Youth Front (WSYF) visited ongoing construction site for Working Women Hostel under the Minority Affairs Department at Niuland town. On inspection, the WSYF found no construction activities going on at the said site and on enquiry it was informed that works were halted for the past three weeks, WSYF Media Cell stated in a press release.
As such, the WSYF has appealed the Niuland administration to investigate as to why the work was suspended and take necessary steps to resume construction works at the earliest.
The WSYF also urged the contractor to work as per the DPR, use quality materials and not to compromise with workmanship. It demanded that the works should be completed within the specified timeframe in the work order and handover the same to concern department for public consumption.
While stating that it will not remain a mere spectator if the same is not adhered to, the WSYF also assured its full cooperation for smooth execution of the works and would continue to monitor the construction till completion.
