The Women Department of Wokha Village Baptist Church observed a Special Ministry Day on August 22 under the theme “Women in the Changing Times: A Spiritual Perspective” through skits and drama plays.
Speaking on the occasion, Mhonyani Kikon Humtsoe, Women Pastor, stated that the role of women in society continues to evolve with the changing times, and that women are now recognised as an integral part of the workforce across all spheres of life.
She further emphasised that the spiritual role of women, both at home and in the workplace, must centre on fostering peace, unity, and a virtuous environment. She added that a woman’s instinctual nature contributes to shaping a healthy society through nurturing, teaching, and devotion within families and communities.
Encouraging women to remain steadfast in their spiritual wellbeing despite life’s challenges, she called upon them to continue living in faith, serving as the heart of the family, and becoming role models in Christian purity.
In the skit and drama competitions, B Khel and A Khel of Wokha Village were adjudged first and second prize winners respectively. The panel of judges comprised Lily Ngullie Kikon, APRO, Bhandari, Zuchobeni Z Erui, Assistant Professor, WTC, and Ethel Yanthan, Assistant Professor, WTC.
