Wokha, April 22 (MExN): XI Brothers Wokha Village clinched the 20th edition of Lotha Students' Union Martyr's Trophy after defeating Airfield Colony FC in the final today at Local Ground, Wokha.
The final was decided through a tie breaker as regulation time ended in a goalless draw. XI Brothers won the penalty shoot out 5-4 to emerge as champions.
The winner received a cash amount of Rs 60,000 with running trophy and certificate while the runner-up bagged Rs 40,000 with a running trophy and certificate.
K Remphamo Lotha, Principal, IETC, Medziphema cum Director SAMETI gracing the culmination programme as the special guest spoke on health and mental wellness and reminded that fitness is an important tool to shine in every field.
Earlier an exhibition match was played between LSU officials and Deputy Commissioner (DC) XI. LSU won the match 2-0.
