After going virtual for two years due to pandemic, Mokokchung Town Baptist Church Youth Department celebrated the XXXI MUSICFEST based on the theme “Taochi” on July 7 and 8 evening.
The thirty first edition featured some of the best talents from Mokokchung Town Baptist Church and also performances from churches of other tribes in Mokokchung.
The two-day mega event featured, for the first time, a Battle of Worship Bands, where Worship Teams from nine fellowships under Mokokchung Town Baptist Church Youth Department competed for the ultimate winner’s title which was bagged by A&B Youth Fellowship followed by Arkong Youth Fellowship and Salangtem Youth Fellowship as second and third place winner.
The Organising Committee said that the objective behind the competition is to reignite their passion to lead praise and worship and also as an encouragement to continue with the worship activities in their respective fellowships.
Musicfest, which is one of the most anticipated and the longest running event in town, has been providing platforms to the youths of the Church to discover their God given talents. It also acts as a ministry to reach out to the youths with the message of God’s unconditional love which apparently is the theme for this year’s edition.
