Kohima: Training for animators of ‘Young Christian Movement’ was held in Bishop Abraham memorial Building, Kohima on May 10. Regional team from Guwahati led by Sr. Agnes Sanihe animated the sessions. The program included session on the working of the movement, tips for Leadership and communication skills and cell meeting.
‘Young Christian Students Movement’ (YCS) is an international students’ movement, where students come together in small groups of 8-10 to share their interests, problems, experiences, anxieties etc., and find a solution of their own through the YCS methodology of SEE, JUDGE and ACT i.e., awareness, reflection, action and evaluation. It is a growth oriented, life oriented movement and cell based movement.
A press release issued by Anna, Co-ordinator informed that the aim of the movement is ‘A Just Society’. Over 23 schools in the states have already units of this movement. A total of 54 animators from different parts of the state participated in the program.
