Wokha, May 17 (MExN): The Yikhum Village Baptist Church spiritual revival with the theme ‘Come upon us Holy Spirits’ was held with Rev. Yankey Patton and Rev. Chumben Kyong as resource persons.
Yikhum Village Baptist Church (YVBC) Asst. Pastor, Shanjamo Odyuo has made a special appeal to all the village members, wherever one may be, to come and attend the revival programme. Zanben Kithan, senior pastor of YVBC said that this is a time for the Yikhum people to humble ourselves before the Lord and return to Him. This is a time for us to forgive each other if you cannot forgive others your coming to the church is meaningless.
According to a press release issued by YVBC senior pastor Zanben Kithan, out of the eleven shops in the village, ten have declared that they will not sell anything that the Lord neither accepts nor is happy. Three households sell intoxicants among, which two made a declaration before the Lord that they would not sell any kind of intoxicants any further.
Many confessed the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and committed that for the rest of their lives they will live for the benefit of the people, society and the church. In significance of the Centennial Jubilee of Yikhum Village Baptist Church, the Church will sponsor 100 (one hundred) missionaries.
