Dimapur, June 17 (MExN): The Yimchungru GBs Union has been formed on June 5, 2012 at Pungro Town with its motto “Peace &Unity” represented by all the GBs of Yimchungru villages. This was stated in a press note issued by president Yimchungru GBs Union K Lakiumong, and chairman executive committee T Royim.
The following office bearers have been elected with K Lakiumong GB Chessore village as the president, vice-president T Musumong, head GB Pungro town, T Rijang old Showuba Dimapur, general secy Shophu Salomi village, joint sect Rhakkiumong GB Shamator town, executive chairman T Royem Tuensang town, executive secy Y Joseph Shamator town, treasurer SC Akhang GB Shamator Town, sub treasurer T Musunaong Pungro Town and fifteen executive members have been selected. The note also mentioned that in the meeting, the Union resolved to maintain peace in Yimchugru area and uphold the traditional law & practices throughout the Yimchungru inhabited areas and also to promote peaceful neighboring tribal resolutions forever. The Union also resolved to extend full cooperation with the state Government.
