Yimkhiung Union Kohima 28th general session held

Kohima, April 23 (MExN): The Yimkhiung Union Kohima (YUK) held its 28th general session with Advisor for IPR and Village Guard, S Keoshu Yimkhiung as a special guest at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama on April 23. 

Addressing the gathering, a DIPR report stated that the special guest exhorted the members that tribal union was formed with an objective to help one another in every walks of life and to maintain cordial relationship without ‘ism’ with the rest of the other Naga tribes. 

He appealed the Yimkhiungrü residing within Kohima to avoid “any bad evil practices which would create unpleasant to the society and bring shame to the community as a whole.” He encouraged the YUK to work hard for the upliftment of community without any favoritism as a guardian for its members and to have a unity in spirit among the community for a better future endeavors.

The programme was chaired by YUK Secretary, Art And Culture, T Pusukhong, invocation prayer was pronounced by YBCK, Pastor, Wongtokiu welcome address was delivered by YUK President, John Tochingmong, special number by YSUK, WYH Vice President Kejingkhum and YTC Secretary, Yinkiu also exhorted the gathering, folk song presented by Shophu and group, vote of thanks delivered by YUK Vice President Akumba.
