Longleng, December 22 (MExN): Celebration of 75th anniversary of Yongshei Village Baptist Church, Longleng was held on the theme ‘Thus Far The Lord Has Helped Us’ from December 19 to 21.
Executive Secretary of Phom Baptist Christian Association, (PBCA), N Tialemba Phom unveiled and dedicated the platinum jubilee monolith of Yongshei Baptist Church, stated a DIPR report. The inscription on the Platinum Jubilee stone quotes, ‘How great are His signs, how mighty His wonders! His Kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and His dominion is from generation to generation’ (Daniel 4:3).
The platinum jubilee celebration was held at Yongshei (Büshok) site Platinum Jubilee Hall and was attended by the entire Yongshei community, delegates from various Phom churches, guests from other tribes, as well as relatives and well-wishers from near and far.
The programme commenced with the platinum jubilee hall opening ceremony, followed by the screening of a brief documentary on the advent of christianity in Yongshei village.
Executive Secretary of PBCA, N Tialemba Phom; Youth with a Mission, New Delhi, C Shaoang Missionary; Chairman and Team Leader LEMSACHENLOK Longleng, Dr Y Nuklu Phom, and Literature Secretary PBCA, M Moishen Buchem served as the jubilee speaker.
Delivering God’s divine message, the Executive Secretary, PBCA, N Tialemba Phom, highlighted the mercy of God and the abundance of blessings bestowed upon the people of Yongshei over the past 75 years. He encouraged the congregation and attendees to become ambassadors of God’s purposeful mission, both within their community and beyond.
The three-day platinum jubilee celebration of Yongshei Baptist Church (Attoi) culminated in a grand manner under the leadership of Chairman Jubilee Planning Committee, chaired by H Yongko with Associate Pastor, L Yemsho of Yongshei Baptist Attoi, and ended with a closing prayer.
