Dimapur | September 24 : A three-day youth seminar under the theme, “The Call; Reviving new generation” is underway at the Konyak Baptist Church Dimapur since September 23. During the first session on Saturday, Phom Baptist Church Association (PBCA) youth secretary, Chingnga Phom spoke on the topic, “True Love Waits.” Taking reference from the Bible, Phom reminded the youngsters that their body was the temple of God and urged them to keep clean and holy. “Let us not destroy the house of God. Your life doesn’t belong to you, it belongs to God,” Phom said and asked the gathered youngsters not to contaminate their body.
He said True Love Waits campaign was mainly about sexual abstinence before marriage. He urged the youths to flee from the evil desire of youthful lust as has been mentioned in 2 Timothy 2:22. “God created us beautiful, we have so many handsome boys and pretty girls but we are destroying ourselves,” Phom said. Exhorting them on leading a good moral life, he said that a best gift that one can give to his or her wedded partner was their ‘purity.’ At the end of the session, 35 youths took the True Love Waits pledge card. Earlier, the Voice of KBBYD led the praise & worship team.
