Dimapur, August 14 (MExN): Speaking to a gathering of peace club leaders of different districts of Nagaland, Som Kamei, Director, NEZCC ,said that youth should realize their potential and work towards better tomorrow. He was delivering the keynote address during the State Level Leadership Seminar on Peace Building Organized by Peace Channel at DAN (Development Association of Nagaland) Training Centre. Appreciating the Peace Channel’s initiatives for peace building amongst the growing unrest in the region, Kamei said that one should learn to accommodate the diverse cultures and added that the movement enables the youth to open their minds to the opportunities that lies within to come out as champions in life for individual and social development.
The State level leadership seminar on Peace Building is organized the by the movement to capacitate the young leaders to take forward the initiatives of the movement in their own respective institutions and localities. The sessions of the day began with Yoga and meditation. A theoretical perspective to various meditation techniques was animated by Kishor Dass, PRO, Peace Channel. The other sessions included, Fundamental Concepts and Principles of the Movement by Mr. Jiji Joseph, Group Discussion on Peace Club activities by Myingthungo, District Coordinator, Mokokchung and Session on Individual Behaviour Analysis by Victor Yhome, District Coordinator, Kohima. The Session on Peace Celebration lead by Dominic Pfoze, District Coordinator, Peren reviewed and evaluated the procedure of Peace Club Meeting. The two day State level training which brought together 60 peace club leaders from different districts of Nagaland.
