Dimapur, July 18 (MExN): The Zeliang Students’ Union, Nagaland called for an emergency meeting on July 16 through online mode which was joined by Nagaland Zeliang People’s Organisation (NZPO), General Secretary.
ZSU (N) media cell in a press release stated that the meeting discussed the “6th March agreement between Zeliang Students’ Union (ZSU) and Nagaland Zeliang People’s Organisation (NZPO).”
During the meeting, NZPO General Secretary clarified that the decision taken on March 6 “is clear and true for everyone.
Therefore, if any member of NZPO is against or opposes the ZSU (N) convention, it is doing from the personal level and not from the office of NZPO.” He also clarified that the March 6 “decision and agreement between ZLSU and NZPO in the presence of Zeme Council and Liangmai Council is final and true.”
The media cell stated that the March 6th meeting decided to reschedule the ZSU Convention from March 13 to July 7 and also NZPO agreed to extend the tenure of ZSU Interim Body official members for three month.
Meanwhile, the ZSU (N) has requested the public especially it’s federating bodies ‘not to confuse and carried away by such mischievous propagandas meted out by some adversary leaders to tarnish the image of ZLSU in future.’ It also requested to contact ZLSU Convenor for any doubt and clarification @ 9856577450.
Further, it informed that the ZSU Convention will be held on July 24 (Saturday) at Peren Town as scheduled.
