
Zhavame, October 4 (MExN): Zhavame Village Customary Court, funded by Tribal Affairs Department & constructed on a land donated by former Minister, Deo Nukhu, was formally inaugurated by District and Civil Supply Officer, Phek, Neisazo Domeh on October 4.
The function commenced with the unveiling of the monolith by the Special Guest and a dedicatory prayer by Rev. Akha Shupao, Senior Pastor of Zhavame Baptist Church.
Addressing the inaugural function, Neisazo Domeh encouraged the gathering to respect the customary court as it is the highest court in the village. He also advised the people to welcome development for community welfare without any opposition, and further urged the villagers to extend co-operation to the Village Council so that justice can be delivered through the customary court.
Highlights of the programme included report on the building construction by Mosonyi Bruce Domeh, welcome address by Zao Krocha, Village Council Chairman, invocation by Dakhru Rhi, Pastor of Zhavame Christian Revival Church, folk tune by Zhavame Women Society, vote of thanks by Head GB, Sanyi Shupao and benediction by Potokho Peter Pohena, Church Secretary, St. Xavier's Catholic Church, Zhavame while Joshua Rhi chaired the programme.
Representatives from all the Churches, Sub-Council, Women Society ,Youth and students attended the programme.
