Jalukie Town, February 20 (MExN): The Zeliangrong Students’ Union Nagaland (ZSUN) conducted its general election for the new tenure at the Women Welfare Hall, Jalukie Town, on February 20, in the presence of union members, leaders and representatives from various federating units.
In the election, Edward Nring was elected as President, while Lungsangyile was elected as General Secretary of the Union for the new tenure. The house expressed confidence in his leadership and commitment to strengthening the unity and welfare of the Zeliangrong student community.
Along with the President, other office bearers were also elected to various posts to carry forward the activities and responsibilities of the Union.
The Union extended its sincere appreciation to the Election Commission and all members who participated in and supported the smooth and peaceful conduct of the election.
In his address, President-elect Edward Nring expressed gratitude to the members for reposing their trust in him and assured that he would work with dedication, transparency and unity for the betterment of the organisation and the student community.
The Zeliangrong Students’ Union Nagaland stated that it looks forward to a productive and impactful tenure under the newly elected leadership.
