Focusing primarily on affordably, comfort and effortless style, Zudio store, an apparel chain of retail giant Trent (TATA Group) was official inaugurated here at Naga Mall, Fellowship Colony, Dimapur on March 23.
The store was inaugurated by Aneu Pusa, mother of Dr Elivil Pusa, proprietor of KEAV enterprise. Zudio Dimapur will be the 204th Zudio store in the country and also the first in the northeast region. It has also been categorised as an A1 store in the overall store formats which suggests that the stocks available at the store in Dimapur will be available across all their other large stores in the country.
One of the shoppers who were present on the first day, shared with this reporter that, “I think I’m really liking the prices. The quality is efficient and comfortable to wear especially for low-budget consumers.” Adding that she will be definitely coming back again, “Parking space is available and it’s nearby where I stay so of course I will visit again.”
Speaking exclusively to The Morung Express during the launch day, Dr Elivil Pusa explained, “We have been working with Tata Trent for the last six years now. Zudio is a mass market, budget friendly apparel store for everyone.” He also added that KEAV enterprise, the ones responsible for operating Zudio Dimapur, are the proprietors of another Tata franchise, Westside store as well.
He further shared that the building space where the storefront is located has parking space for over 60 to 70 cars. Making it convenient for the customers to come and shop there. Dr Pusa also mentioned that they were constructing a lift, connecting all the three floors, within the store. “The lifts will connect the underground parking floor with the two upper floors of the building, and we hope that it will be operational soon,” he said.
Zudio is a value brand within the Trent portfolio which is completely led by private labels. It was first launched in the year 2016 in Bengaluru city. Zudio has been brought to Dimapur by KEAV enterprise. It envisages that this mass market brand, on value format will work well in a place and time when consumption slowdown is pushing consumers to cut back on spending.
