Zunheboto, December 9 (MExN): Lack of fire and emergency services stations at many sub-divisions under the district was among the key issues deliberated at the monthly Zunheboto District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) on December 8.
At the meeting presided by the Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto, Peter Lichamo, a member raised the issue and the board acknowledging its importance asked the concern officials to notify and update the details in the next meeting, a DIPR report informed
The members also discussed the need for proper uniformity of inter- and intra-district taxi fares and agreed to follow the rates decided at previous meeting in March, it said.
The concerned administrative heads were also informed to properly monitor, if the rates are being followed, it added. The board also decided to monitor through proper channel, the legality, rates and quality of LPG and fuel depots in the district.
At the meeting, the DC also lauded the efforts of PWD in improving some key routes under their jurisdictions connecting Zunheboto to other districts and also appealed to the HoOs to continue to do so in various other possible ways, the report added.
Earlier, the board meeting began with the introduction of new members and followed up by review of the previous meeting minutes.
