One person was killed and another was injured in a car accident which occurred near Phesama village, Kohima district on July 27 evening around 8:30 PM. Additional SP and PRO, Relo T Aye informed The Morung Express that the vehicle, an Alto taxi was heading to Kohima when it plunged down a steep gorge around 250 feet from the road. The cause of the accident was not ascertained till the time of filing the report. The deceased who was said to be seated in the passenger seat was found dead on the spot when police arrived on the site. The PRO informed that the condition of the injured driver was stable.
