Mon, December 15 (MExN): Ahead of the ‘Mass Public Peaceful Rally’ called by Konyak civil society organisations on December 16, the organisations have appealed the citizens and authorities, “not to create any mob situation” and comply with the directives. In a press release issued on behalf of the CSOs, the Konyak Students’ Union informed that a total bandh will be imposed from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm on Thursday. The peaceful rally is being held to protest the December 4 and 5 incidents at Oting and Mon Headquarter. Meanwhile, the KSU informed that the district administration, medical emergencies, fire and emergency services, police personnel and students appearing examinations are exempted from the purview of the bandh.
